SMSS Achievements at Speech Festival (2025)

Semple Memorial Secondary School is excited to announce the remarkable achievements of our students at the 77th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival (2025). Our students participated with enthusiasm and demonstrated extraordinary confidence and dedication across various categories.

In Solo Verse Speaking, 12 students from F.1 to F.4 showcased their skills, earning 8 Merit Awards (優良獎狀) and 4 Proficiency Awards (良好獎狀). 

In Dramatic Dialogue, a new and exciting challenge for our students, two F.4 students formed a team and were honoured with a Merit Award. 

In Choral Speaking, over 50 students came together in two groups: one consisting of all F.1 classes, and the other combining F.3 and F.4 students. Both groups achieved Merit Awards, with the F.3–F.4 group further excelling by securing Third Place. 

These achievements are a testament to our students’ hard work, perseverance, and passion for English. SMSS is immensely proud of every participant and remains committed to supporting our students in their pursuit of excellence in English and the performing arts.
